Vision

SedateUK will establish the national and international standard of reference in formal competency based training of future sedation practitioners using dynamic and interactive learning methodologies and simulation, while at the same time advancing research and innovation in this discipline.

Focus

SedateUK is focused on two key areas: sedation training for non anaesthetists, and compliance readiness in sedation practice.

For training, SedateUK is establishing and promoting the skills and competencies necessary for non anaesthetist healthcare practitioners to administer minimal to moderate sedation for interventional procedures. We are also establishing the national and international standard of reference in formal competency based training of future sedation practitioners using dynamic and interactive learning methodologies and simulation, while at the same time advancing research and innovation in this discipline.

For complianceSedateUK assists individuals, departments, and clinics to compliant with the latest sedation guidelines including sedation policy, audit, logbook, committee and specific training for physicians, nurses, ODPs, physician assistants and other healthcare professionals involved in sedation.


Course Accreditation

Our courses have different accreditations. Depending on the course you choose, you might be entitled to recognition by the Royal College of Anaesthetists (6 CPD Credits) and Royal College of Nursing (8 CPD Credits). For specific course information check ‘Courses
